Information

Competition Licences: If you want to take part in Road Racing, Motocross or Enduro / Hare and Hounds you will need an SACU competition licence. All SACU licences last for one year and run from January to January, you must have a valid membership of an SACU affiliated club before you can obtain a competition licence. New licences and renewal of existing licences can only be done online at the SACU Riders Portal

Trials Riders: You have a choice to make, if you intend to take part in other events in Scotland such as the SACU Scottish Trials Championship or the Highland Classic 2 Day or maybe evn the Scottish Six Days you will need an SACU Trials Registration Card. Again this can only be done online by using the SACU Riders Portal Same rules as above apply. If however you only wish ride in our club trials then there is no need to apply for a competition licence as we run our club trials under AMCA permits which do not require you to have a competition licence.

Membership Types: We offer a range of membership types to suit the different requirements of our riders and non riders, these are listed and described below,

Junior Member: For persons of school age who wish to compete at schoolperson level; eligible to apply for a schoolperson competition licence

Non Rider: For persons who have or retain an interest in motorcycle sport, eligible to attend any social functions or use any discounts that the clubs may organise. Will not hold a competition licence.

Rider: For adults aged 18 and over who wish to take part in organised, competitive motorcycle sport; eligible to apply for a competition licence

Junior Track Rider: For persons of school age who have MX or Enduro bikes and would like to ride at the Pennan track. The track at Pennan is operated by our friends at the Buchan Off Road MCC and is open 363 days a year for riding. Track riders are eligible to apply for a competition licence.

Adult Track Rider: For riders of MX and enduro bikes aged 18 and over and would like to ride at the Pennan track. The track at Pennan is operated by our friends at the Buchan Off Road MCC and is open 363 days a year for riding. Track riders are eligible to apply for a competition licence.
