Venue Information and Supplementary Regs

Site   Craiglash Quarry near Banchory, Aberdeenshire. AB31 4EA.  The start area is approximately 1 mile form the A93  Aberdeen to Braemar road and can be found by taking the turn after the Bridge of Canny marked Craiglash / Glassel.  Drive carefully on the single track road until you reach the quarry where parking will be provided on the quarry floor. There must be NO riding on any stone piles in the quarry floor and rubbish must be taken home with you. When accessing the forest from the quarry floor there must no be riding on the berms at the side of the access road and walking pace should be your maximum speed on this road. 

Camping     There are no overnight camping facilities at this venue. 

Environmental    No goggle Tear Offs allowed in Enduro or Hare and hound events. See 2025 Standing Regs. Riders may use Roll Offs – but must collect damaged roll offs to prevent injury to livestock. Machine washing is not permitted as detailed in the ACU handbook. All competitors must have an enviromental mat. Please take all rubbish with you at the end of the weekend.

Supplementary Regs

Entries    Entries are open to anyone with an SACU Off Road speed licence. If you don't have one you will need to purchas a one event licence. Entries are limited to just 60 riders and will close when that number has been reached or on Friday 31st October at 09:00

Route    The route will be several laps of a course of approx. 6 miles in length. The route will be marked with arrows, tape and flags. There may be other countryside users in the vicinity of the event. Your courtesy towards these people is appreciated.

Signing on       All riders must possess a valid current off road speed competition licence (SACU,ACU,FIM) or ACU card. Trials riders please note that a valid off road speed licence is applicable for this event.  One Event Licences will be available. All riders will be required to provide proof of SACU/ACU affiliated club membership. Bon Accord Motor Cycle Club Membership is available at £20 for 8 months. Licences will be checked at sign on.

Noise Testing    Engines must not exceed 94dba.  Noise testing may be carried out.

Refuelling    Will be restricted to an area designated for refuelling and will be marked by green flags.  No smoking
will be permitted in or near this area. Engines must be stopped during refuelling.  All riders must provide a fire extinguisher and environmental mat.

Helmets    Gold or silver ACU current stamped helmets must be worn.

I.D. Discs    Must be worn giving name, date of birth and blood group if known

Concussion    I undertake to notify the club of any recent (within the last 23 days) concussion injury and will produce a doctor’s note to state I am able to compete in the event”. The Doctors note to state “The rider is no longer suffering the consequences of concussion.

Cameras    Riders are again reminded that no helmet mounted or body worn cameras may be used. Failure to comply will result in exclusion. Cameras mounted to your bike are permitted but will be checked for safety at scrutineering.
