Dates and Venues
The league will consist of 6 races. Races take place on a Sunday. The start time will be 10am unless advised otherwise.
Race 1 Sunday 11th October 2026 - Bishop Wilton hosted by Pocklington Runners
Race 2 Sunday 8th November 2026 - Welton hosted by Goole Viking Striders and Selby Striders
Race 3 Sunday 13th December 2026 - Wetwang hosted by Yorkshire Wolds Runners
Race 4 Sunday 3rd January 2027 - Sledmere hosted by Driffield Striders
Race 5 Sunday 14th February 2027 - Drewton hosted by Beverley AC and City of Hull AC
Race 6 Sunday 7th March 2027 - Sewerby with buffet & presentations hosted by Bridlington RR and East Hull Harriers
This season we will also provide a reserve race venue. We are working towards using Dalby as the reserve race and are working towards the date 28th February 2027. We are not yet able to confirm that date but hope to do so asap. We are waiting for Dalby to agree our preferred date.
The good news is that one of the stiles at Staindale has recently been replaced with a gate. We are expecting the second stile to be replaced and we are hoping to have improvement to the communication methods available at the venue.
If one of the races needs to be cancelled, then the reserve race and date will be used as a replacement. As we are hoping to confirm the booking for the reserve venue and obtain the relevant permissions, a social run will take place from there if it is not needed as a replacement race. Pickering RC will host this reserve race or social run.
Your EYXC Season 2026-27 race number will be available for collection from your club rep at the village hall at Bishop Wilton on the morning of Race 1. If you are entering the league but not running at Race 1 Bishop Wilton then your number will be available to collect from your club rep prior to you running in any of the remaining league races.
The same number is to be used by you for all 6 races so please take care of it.
You are entering the league series of 6 races. You will not need to enter each race individually. As in previous seasons, once you have registered for the series and have your number, you just turn up to the races you want to compete in. Do remember for individual prize winning you need to have ran at least 4 of the 6 races.
Official Club Vests/Tops and your race number must be worn or you may be disqualified. Race numbers must be displayed on the front of the club vest/top which must be worn as your outer garment.
The online entry fee is £20.00. This includes 6 races or how many are left at the time you enter the league, presentation and buffet. Your entry is accepted based on your agreement to the rules/guidelines implemented by the League.
