Event Rules for Zombies

All zombies are required to comply with the following rules.

1. Zombie must register on arrival at the start area and, once on the course, must remain in their allocated area at all times.
2. Zombies must not wear headphones.
3. No dogs or other animals are allowed in the zombie zones.
4. Zombies suspected to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol shall be refused entry or removed from the event.
5. Important – there shall be no direct physical contact between zombies and runners (e.g. no pushing, no hitting, no tripping, no tackling). Zombies shall not block or chase runners. Zombies must act individually at all times and must not collaborate with other zombies to group around or gang up on runners.

Event Rules

The event organiser is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, volunteers, staff and spectators. By attending this event, you agree to abide by the following event rules. -

All runners must bring a suitable torch  /  A head or body worn torch is compulsory

Runners must not wear headphones.

Runners must not be accompanied by dogs or other animals.

Runners must be 18 years or over

Runners suspected to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol shall be refused entry or removed from the event.

Runners must declare all relevant medical conditions and must not participate if they feel unwell

Runners must dress appropriately for the weather conditions, and for running the trail which includes woodland paths, tarmac and gravel.

Important – there shall be no direct physical contact between zombies and runners (e.g. no pushing, no hitting, no tripping, no tackling).

This event it is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to the multi-terrain and after dark nature.

Terms and Conditions

A - General

1. Participation in Night of the Undead – Zombie Run, either as a runner or zombie (collectively referred to as ‘participants’), requires agreeing to these Terms & Conditions and agreeing to abide by the Event Rules. If you do not agree with any part, please do not enter.
2. By entering, participants agree to receive event-related communications. Contact information will not be shared with third parties without consent. Basic personal information will be shared with the event’s medical provider for their professional purposes.
3. By accepting these terms and conditions participants and spectators consent to being photographed and/or filmed during the event and that such images can be used for promotional purposes. Such images will not be shared with unauthorised third parties.
4. The event organiser reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time by posting updates online.

B – Fees and Refunds

1. The runners’ entry fee is £22 (plus booking fee) payable in advance online or £25 on the day (in person). On the day fees are payable by cash only.
2. The zombie entry fee is £5 (plus booking fee) per zombie payable online or cash only on the day. Discounted fees can be negotiated for group zombie bookings.
3. The event organiser operates a no refunds policy. If you cannot attend and notify us at least 7 days prior to the event you may transfer your entry to another person. Otherwise entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

C – Changes and Cancellations

1. The event organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the event without prior notice, including changes to the event time, date, venue, fees or prizes.
2. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the organiser (e.g. severe weather, security incident, instruction from GMP, Haigh Hall or Wigan Council), the event organiser will attempt to reschedule. If this is not possible, no refunds will be given. Participants who choose not to take part after an event is rescheduled will not be entitled to a refund.
3. If the event is cancelled by the organiser for reasons within its control before the 24/10/26, participants will be notified and entry fees will be refunded.
4. If the event is abandoned once it has begun (e.g. due to injury), no refunds will be given.
5. If an individual is asked to leave the event due to unacceptable behaviour, no refunds will be given. All decisions about appropriate or inappropriate behaviour are at the sole discretion of the event organiser. Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to harassment or abuse, inappropriate attire, physical or verbal aggression, possession of weapons, engaging in unlawful or offensive behaviour, possession or use of illegal substances, assembling for the purposes of disrupting the event, and failing to comply with the event rules or venue regulations.

D – Liabilities

1. Participants enter the event at their own risk and accept the inherent risks associated with trail and running events. Participants must make their own judgement about whether conditions (e.g. weather, ground conditions) are safe and it is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they are fit and healthy enough to participate. By participating they accept full responsibility for navigating the event safely and for any injuries.
2. Participants must secure their personal belongings.
3. Participants must make their own arrangements for insurance for personal injury or personal property damage – the event organiser does not provide coverage.
4. The event organiser accepts no liability for participants’ injury or illness, or for loss of, theft of, or damage to, personal property or equipment, before, during or after the event.
5. The event organiser accepts no liability for indirect or consequential losses such as travel or accommodation costs.
6. The event organiser accepts no liability for business losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption or business opportunity.
7. The event organiser is not liable for the action of third party vendors, volunteers, contractors or sponsors.
8. Participants waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit. Any legal claim must be resolved individually.

E – Force Majeure

1. The event organiser is not liable for event disruption caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, government restrictions, health emergencies, restrictions by the emergency services or Wigan Council.
2. The event organiser shall not be liable for any refund, loss (including indirect or consequential loss), damage or expense caused by a Force Majeure event.

F – Legal Jurisdiction

1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the course of England and Wales.
