THE HILLIEST LONG DISTANCE ROAD CYCLING EVENT IN THE UK

 

Pure Peak Grit (PPG) is a road cycling route linking together virtually every categorised climb in the Peak District National Park, and the ‘Greatest 100 Cycling Climbs’ in and around it.

 

The ride is around 640km long with over 13,500m of ascent. It includes at least 40 fearsome hills with gradients of between 10-25%.

Terms & Conditions

By registering for this event you agree to the following:

  • I have read, understood and agree to abide by the Pure Peak Grit rules (see here)
  • I confirm that I am taking part in this event at my own risk, and take full personal responsibility for my health, safety, and any accidents or mechanical issues that may occur
  • I understand the event is non-refundable within 120 days prior to the event start date except for special circumstances and at the discretion of the event organiser
  • I agree to renting a tracker, paying the refundable tracker deposit, and being tracked during the event
  • I understand that there will be photography during the event: I am happy to be included in photographs, and that these may be used for promotion purposes
  • I will have my own 3rd party liability cycling insurance before commencing the event and provide proof ahead of the start to the event organisers
  • I will immediately contact event organiser Dave in case of an emergency or if I drop out. I understand there is no guarantee of help or a pick up if such a case arises, and I am fully responsible for myself
  • I understand and agree to cycle this route that includes minor roads with poor visibility, and some major busy roads. This, in combination with poor weather conditions may be dangerous and lead to serious or fatal injuries
  • I will ensure my bike is in a roadworthy condition preceding and during the event
  • I understand that this is a charity event, and will help promote it by including the official hashtags in any social media updates @purepeakgit #purepeakgrit

Refund Policy

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds for event registrations will be considered under the following conditions:

a. Refunds up to 120 Days Prior to Event Start Date: Registrants are eligible for a full refund of their event registration fee if they request the refund up to 120 days prior to the event start date.

b. Special Circumstances: Refunds may be granted for special circumstances within 120 days of the event start date, at the sole discretion of the event organiser. Special circumstances may include, but are not limited to, medical emergencies, unforeseen travel restrictions, or other extenuating circumstances that prevent the registrant from attending the event.

 

2. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, registrants must follow the process outlined below:

a. Refund Requests up to 120 Days Prior to Event Start Date:

Registrants can request a refund by sending an email to purepeakgrit@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Reason for Refund Request
  • Contact Information (Email and Phone Number)

Upon receiving a valid refund request, the event organiser will initiate the refund process.

b. Refund Requests Within 120 Days of Event Start Date (Special Circumstances):

Registrants requesting refunds within 120 days of the event start date due to special circumstances should send an email to purepeakgrit@gmail.com. The email must include the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Detailed Explanation of Special Circumstances
  • Supporting Documentation (if applicable)
  • Contact Information (Email and Phone Number)

The event organiser will review the request and, if deemed valid, will initiate the refund process.

 

3. Refund Processing

Once a refund request is approved, the event organiser will process the refund within 7 working days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used during registration.

 

4. Refund Denial

The event organiser reserves the right to deny refund requests that do not meet the eligibility criteria stated in this policy. If a refund request is denied, the registrant will be notified via email with an explanation.
