Site Information

Get onto the A93

  • From Aberdeen: head west on the A93 toward Banchory
  • From Braemar / Deeside: head east on the A93 toward Banchory
  • Drive along the A93 until you reach Bridge of Canny (a known landmark on this route)
  • Just after Bridge of Canny, look for a turn signposted: "Craiglash / Glassel"
  • Continue carefully along this narrow rural road
  • Expect:
    • Passing places
    • Limited visibility
  • Drive slowly and be prepared to give way
  • After about 1 mile, you’ll reach the quarry entrance

Camping    Overnight camping facilities are being provided at this venue, cost will be £10 per vehicle per night. 

Environmental    No goggle Tear Offs allowed in Enduro or Hare and hound events. See 2026 Standing Regs. Riders may use Roll Offs – but must collect damaged roll offs to prevent injury to livestock. Machine washing is not permitted as detailed in the ACU handbook. All competitors must have an enviromental mat. Please take all rubbish with you at the end of the weekend.

Catering    Your entry fee includes a free burger and drink at the end of the event. Our caterer Smashed and Loaded will also be available on Saturday morning for breakfast rolls, coffees and teas.

Local Facilities     The nearest village is Kincardine O Neil where there is a General Store and a Chinese takeaway. There are also public toilets also in the village. For a bigger range of takeaway food outlets head to Banchory.

Supplementary Regs

Entries    Entries are open to Experts A & B, Over 40s, Over 50s, Clubmen, Clubmen B, Sportsmen, Sportsmen Vets (Over 50’s), Sportsmen Vets (Over 60's). Entries close at 09:00 on Thursday 16th April. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. 

Route    The route will be several laps of a course of approx. 10 miles in length. The route will be marked with arrows, tape and flags. There may be other countryside users in the vicinity of the event. Your courtesy towards these people is appreciated.

Preliminaries    Signing on and Scrutineering will take place between 08:30hrs and 09:30 hrs on Sunday adjacent to the Start Area/Parc Ferme in the red BAMCC tent.

Signing on       All riders must possess a valid current off road speed competition licence (SACU,ACU,FIM) or ACU card. Trials riders please note that a valid off road speed licence is applicable for this event.  One Event Licences will be available. All riders will be required to provide proof of SACU/ACU affiliated club membership. Bon Accord Motor Cycle Club Membership is available at £20 for 8 months. Licences will be checked at sign on.
    
Backgrounds    Please ensure that Expert riders have red or green background panels with white numbers, Over 40 and Over 50 riders have blue backgrounds with white numbers, Clubman riders have yellow background panels with black numbers, Sportsman riders have black background panels with white numbers. All machines will carry 3 number plates, one on the front and one on each side.

Scrutineering    Machines will be checked for legible number plates showing rider number. Rider number will be supplied on receipt of entry fee and completed entry form. Safety checks will be carried out. There will be no restrictions on tyre type. Machines must be clearly numbered on front and side panels with correct colour background

Starting    First rider will start at 10:30 hrs. Sequence will be 2 or 3 riders per minute.

Special Test    Tests will not count on first lap. The terrain will be of Cross country type and able to be viewed from 3pm Saturday 27th September.  Riders do not have to stop at the start of the test (AA).  The end of the test (BB) will be a flying finish and riders do not need to stop. Exact location of the test will be e-mailed to all entrants in the final instructions.

Noise Testing    Engines must not exceed 94dba.  Noise testing may be carried out.

Parc Ferme    Machines must not be started or worked on in the parc ferme prior to the start.

Refuelling    Will be restricted to an area designated for refuelling and will be marked by green flags.  No smoking
will be permitted in or near this area. Engines must be stopped during refuelling.  All riders must provide a fire extinguisher and environmental mat.

Helmets    Gold or silver ACU current stamped helmets must be worn.

I.D. Discs    Must be worn giving name, date of birth and blood group if known

Concussion    I undertake to notify the club of any recent (within the last 23 days) concussion injury and will produce a doctor’s note to state I am able to compete in the event”. The Doctors note to state “The rider is no longer suffering the consequences of concussion.

Cameras    Riders are again reminded that no helmet mounted or body worn cameras may be used. Failure to comply will result in exclusion. Cameras mounted to your bike are permitted but will be checked for safety at scrutineering.
