Information
In February 2026, the popular and well established Snake Lane race enters its 34th year. It is a fairly flat, fast 10 miler, ideal as part of Spring marathon training or as an early target for your season. As its name suggests, the course has a winding stretch that snakes its way through beautiful East Yorkshire countryside at the foot of the glorious Wolds.
The race is held on closed roads with a 2 hour 30mins cut off.
An extensive cash prize list is on offer:
• First male and female - £250 plus a further £250 if the course record is broken (should more than one male/female competitor break the course record only the fastest can claim the prize)
• Second and Third male and female - £70/60
• First vet male and female - £30
• First club team (three to count) - £45
Please Note: One prize only in the individual competition. Prize money / trophies must be collected at the awards ceremony held at the Race HQ (Pocklington Rugby Club), which will take place at 10:45am
There will be medals and a race souvenir for those who complete the race on the day.

Terms & Conditions
By making your entry to this race you declare that you will take part in the event entirely at your own risk, that you have no medical disabilities or conditions that may endanger you or other participants, and that you remain personally responsible for your property at the race venue. As a race entrant you confirm you are over 17 years of age.
Time limit - if you feel that you cannot finish within the 2 hour 30min time limit, please advise a race marshall, sweep vehicle or the tail runners. Transport can be arranged to take you to the finish. All marshalls and timing mats will be withdrawn at 11:30am, after which no times will be recorded. If you choose not to accept transport to the finish, you will be on the road at your own risk and Pocklington Runners cannot accept any responsibility for your safety.
Anti Doping
‘An entrant shall be deemed to have made him/herself/their self, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from commencement of membership, whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.’
