Entries when the system is closed?

We often get asked if there is a way to take entries once the event has sold out. Some events wish to provide entries for many reasons.

The whole purpose of the system is to take entries, but more importantly stop taking entries when the event is full. However there is a way around this should you need to provide entries after the event has closed.

1. Create a ticket price of a much higher amount and provide a discount code to offset the difference. This will deter people from entering other than those intended.
2. Create a manual entry in the administration section. (This requires work on your behalf)
3. Password protect the page and provide this password to those that you wish to have access. (This could be abused i.e given out to others)

In all cases if you will need to increase your maximum total to provide the additional entries you wish to take.

They all seem rather unconventional but will provide you with a work around.
