Why does the entry system close when the limit is reached, and what happens next?
Our entry system is designed to keep the process fair, stable, and free from oversubscription. To achieve this, we operate a controlled “active entry limit.” This means only a set number of people can be filling in their details at any one time.
What happens when the limit is reached?
When all active entry slots are in use, the system temporarily closes to new starters. This prevents too many people entering at once, which can lead to system overload, duplicate entries, or participants losing their place.
During this time, the system will show as closed this simply means all available entry sessions are currently occupied.
What happens when a slot becomes free?
As soon as someone completes or abandons their entry, a slot becomes available again and the system automatically reopens. If you begin an entry when a slot becomes available, you will have a full 30 minutes to complete your registration, even if the system reaches its limit again during that time.
What if I’ve already started my entry?
Once you begin your entry, you are given a 30‑minute window to complete your registration, regardless of whether the system closes to new starters during that period. This ensures:
- Your place is protected
- You won’t be timed out unfairly
Your 30‑minute session is secure even if demand spikes again.
