South Cave 10k 2025

Information

The South Cave 10k 2025 - 27th July 2025 @ 9am

After several successful 10k races, we are pleased to announce the next South Cave 10k on a route that takes you from the splendid drive of the 19th century Cave Castle through the historic town of South Cave (not a village, locals will remind you as it was granted a town charter by King Edward I in 1291!). You will then run through the countryside to the pretty village of Ellerker before looping round and returning to South Cave, with a couple of sharp climbs to add to the fun before your run is completed by a lap of the local playing field. As you collect your medal and t-shirt, we hope you will have had as much fun as we have had setting the event up.

Although organised by the Kingston Upon Hull Athletics Club Road Runners (https://www.kuhac-road-runners.co.uk), the intention has always been that this would also be a community event for South Cave and that plan has been greatly helped by the willingness of the local Pavilion Committee to allow the use of their facilities and to share their expertise in organising events. In the spirit of embracing the locality, the Bob Reay shield, which will record the names of the first male and female finishers, marks the contribution to the area of a well-known local runner. Bob would have loved to run this one and we anticipate some fierce competition to be the first South Cave runner to finish!
