motorcycle sport in Scotland. All eyes will be on us.
D2D Long Distance Motorcycle Trial
While this type of event has long been popular south of the border this is the first time such an event has been organised in Scotland. We are aiming our first event at off road novices and riders of dual sport bikes who would like to ride them off road legally. This is a competitive event even though speed does not play a large part in determining the winners. As such you will need an SACU / ACU competition licence to take part (if you don’t have one we can supply you with a One Event Licence which will allow you to take part) and you will need to read and understand our rules of entry which can be found on the Information Page. Enduro or trials riders will be familiar with the rules and entry procedure.
An LDT is a mixture of road riding and off-road riding all while navigating your way around using a roadbook or mobile phone following the route we have set. The winners are determined in the off-road sections where an observer will mark your performance. The different types of test and their scoring systems will be explained in detail before the actual event. Anyone who has ridden trials will be familiar with the scoring systems. We will be using some or all of the following test types,
- Trials: Touching the ground with your foot once counts as a mark, touch twice loses two marks, touch three times or more loses three marks, coming to a stop or missing a marker loses five marks
- Hill Start: Touching a foot to the ground whilst moving off counts as five marks
- Regularity Test: Completing a marked course in a standard time. Lose marks for being under or over the standard time.
- Timed Test: Riders will be timed between two points
The rider with the lowest number of observed marks and penalty points at the end of the day will be the winner. There are five different classes to compensate for the performance of the bikes being used. Each class winner will receive a trophy and all finishers will receive an award.

DECLARATION:
I, the undersigned apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof:-
- I hereby declare that I have had the opportunity to read, and that I understand the National Sporting Code of the ACU/SACU, the ACU/SACU Standing Regulations, such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.
- I further declare that I am physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and I am competent to do so.
- I confirm that I understand the nature and type of event I am are entering and its inherent risks and agree to accept the same notwithstanding those risks may involve negligence on the part of the organisers or officials.
- I confirm that the machine(s) as described below which I compete on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose.
- I confirm that if any part of the event takes place on a public highway, the machine described below shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Acts, or equivalent legislation, and that it will comply with the regulations in respect thereof.
- I agree that I am required to register our arrival by "signing on" at the designated place not less than 30 minutes prior to commencement of my practice/ first competition/start time, whichever occurs first.
Acknowledgement of the risks of motorsport: I understand that by taking part in this event I am exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the ACU, the SACU, the promoter, the organising club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity.

Adult Riders (18 years of age and over): In consideration for being permitted to participate in this event, I declare that I will be bound by the declaration which I have signed on this entry form and the answers on the entry form are true.
Minors(under 18 years of age): In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I declare that I will be bound by the declaration signed on my behalf on the parental agreement form associate with this event, and by the declaration which I have signed on this entry form, the answers on which said entry form are true. Further, I will be bound by the directions of my parent(s)/ guardian(s) or other appointed adult assuming responsibility for me at this event on behalf of the organisers.
Refund Policy
We want you to be pleased with your purchases from The Bon Accord Motor Cycle Club Ltd. so we guarantee to refund any item you are not completely happy with when you return it.
Entries for motorcycle events can be withdrawn until 24 hours before the starting time of the event. Requests to withdraw an entry should be made by e-mailing info@bamcc.co.uk to inform us of your decision. Any refunds can only be made to the card used to pay your entry fee. Requests to withdraw an entry with less than 24 hours notice will be at the organisers discretion and may result in the loss of your entry fee!
