Information
Starting at 10:00 adjacent to the Pier Towers on Central Promenade the race follows an out and back route along Withernsea Promenade with a loop around the village of Hollym. For those familiar with the Withernsea 5 it is the same route but with an extension along other lanes. There will be 2 cone turn around points and a drinks station along the route.
The start and finish at Pier Towers is convenient for town centre car parks and public toilets.
Runners with disabilities and impairments are encouraged, but sadly the course is unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. Any blind or partially sighted runners can bring a guide runner free of charge. Please advise us first. If anyone wishes to discuss any issues discretely, please contact the race director.
Run under UKA rules - licence applied for.
Runners must be 15 or older on the day of the race. Under 18's must have parent / guardian consent to enter.
Under UKA rules, for safety reasons, headphones, earphones etc are not permitted (hearing aids excluded). Anyone wearing these risk being disqualified. Bone conductor type are permitted under EA rules but runners MUST be able to hear marshals instructions at all times.
Entry is £22 with a £2 discount for UKA club affiliated members.
Entry fee includes bespoke medal and race T shirt for all finishers.
Trophies and prizes of £75, £50 and £30 (minimum), awarded to the first 3 male and 1st 3 female finishers.
Trophies to 1st male and female in 10 year age groups 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+.
Prizes awarded on gun time not chip time.
Bag storage available in the baggage van. All items left at owners risk.
Race numbers and timing chips to be collected on the day. Please allow a little extra time. Entry desk will open around 8:00am
