The course

A single-lap riverside route, flat and mostly traffic-free. It's a course you can run a decent time on, but it isn't a race that takes itself too seriously — we'd rather you enjoyed the morning than chased a PB. Fully marshalled throughout, with water on the course and at the finish.

Every finisher gets

• A medal
• Chip timing, with live results and a personalised finisher's certificate
• Water and refreshments at the finish
• A technical T-shirt, if selected at entry — additional supplement

The rest of the day

The 10k is the start of it rather than the whole of it. Once the runners are home there's a children's fun run, hot food, and an event village with things to do for anyone who came along to watch. Bring the family and make a day of it.

Entry

£22 standard · £20 for runners affiliated to an England Athletics club. Affiliated runners must enter their England Athletics number at entry to receive the discount.

Entries are limited to 500 places and we expect to sell out.
