Our 1st MV45 Ted Watson Award - The Ted Watson Award is an annual award that was introduced for the 2025/26 season.
Ted's wife, Trish Watson a Bridlington RR runner, ran in the 2023/24 EYXC league winning the 1st FV65 Brian Richardson Trophy.
Trish loved the cross country league and was a keen sports woman, very competitive whilst very friendly and welcoming.
Ted Watson loved running into his seventies and always put back into sport, in his younger years he had been a keen track runner.
Trish wanted to sponsor this award as a fitting tribute to Ted who had passed away in late 2023.
Sadly Trish passed away in 2026 prior to the end of the 2025/26 season and presentation.
