New Scoring Rules for the 2026 - 2027 season!

16th April 2026

Our race dates this season will clash with Remembrance Day, Valentines Day and Mother’s Day.  Whilst this may not suit all of you the dates are agreed with the relevant authorities and landowners and need to fit in with the shooting season, availability of the venue, timing and first aid provider and the clubs hosting the race.

The first race at Bishop Wilton also clashes with Scarborough’s commitment to The Yorkshire Coast 10K on the 11th October 2026.

We have therefore agreed to make an amendment to the scoring system for the 2026-2027 season:

Instead of the best 5 out of 6 results for the individual and vet prizes we will use your best 4 results from the 6 races.

Instead of 6 out of 6 for the men’s and ladies team prize we will use your best 5 team results from the 6 races.

This will mean that to win an individual prize you only need to run in 4 races and can miss any 2. The team prize change will ensure that Scarbrough are not disadvantaged if their ‘best team’ are busy at the Yorkshire Coast 10K.

We will however only provide a memento to those runners that complete all 6 races or complete 5 and marshal/help with the race their club host.
