Barracuda Training Sessions/Calendar

East Yorkshire's Premier Triathlon Club

1. DUATHLON EVENTS 

The club runs two different series of duathlons throughout the season. One series is a handicap event and the other series is a scratch event.

The training events are run every 2 weeks on a wednesday evening from Skidby Mill Car Park from 7pm

The duathlon series of events act as a main meeting point for members to get together and swap stories of events they have done or are intending to do.  

 

2. OPEN WATER SWIMMING

Billlabong is the main OWS venue for the Barracudas.

The OWS sessions start date -TBC. They take place on a Monday and Wednesday evening from 18.00 until 19.30

3. TRAINING RUNS

Several members of the club kindly organise training runs of variying lengths and terrain - two of the most popular training sessions are listed below.

  • 2nd Tuesday each month starting from Beverley (Paul's Caldwell bacon sarnie run) starts at 9.30am from Paul's and covering up to 10 miles. Contact Paul for additional details.
  • 3rd Saturday each month starting in Huggate and covering between 8 and 13 miles.
  • Main club run 5-8 miles - Meet at Warners Gym 18.30 every Wednesday evening. Check the What's app group for updates. General facilities are available at the gym if required after the run.

Other small groups also get together for one off training runs and information for these are better accessed through the Barracuda Whats app Group or the members newsletter. 

 

4. TRAINING BIKE RIDES

Club Ride - Currently takes place at 8:30am on a Saturday from Skidby Mill car park check the members WhatsApp group for any updates.
