DUATHLON EVENTS
The club runs two different series of duathlons throughout the season. One series is a handicap event and the other series is a scratch event.
The training events are run every 2 weeks on a wednesday evening from Skidby Mill Car Park from 7pm

The duathlon series of events act as a main meeting point for members to get together and swap stories of events they have done or are intending to do.
OPEN WATER SWIMMING
Billlabong is the main OWS venue for the Barracudas.
The OWS sessions start date - May. - They take place on a Monday and Wednesday evening from 18.00 until 19.30

COACHED POOL SESSIONS
These are coached by our very own club member and qualified coach - Lucy Khan.
Run to help people of all abilities to improve all aspects of their swimming technique the sessions are held at Albert Avenue or Beverley Road swimming pools and run for a period of upto twelve weekly sessions.
- The Albert Avenue sessions are currently held at 7am on a Wednesday (Typical sessions are 6 weeks long and cost around £45)
- The Beverley Road Sessions are currently held at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening (These sessions are 12 weeks long and cost around £75)
Note: These are very popular sessions and due to the limited space of a pool there is a limit on numbers and thus will need to be booked - Lucy will issue all the details for these sessions as and when the pool can be booked. - As always please keep a close eye on the members whats app group and members newsletter for uptodate and specific details
COACHED OWS SESSIONS
Also available via Lucy these sessions are organised to help people with confidence in an open water environment and covers all aspects of open water swimming. Venues include Welton Water & 8 Acre Lake. These sessions are available throughout the summer and the dates, costs and times will be made available by Lucy on the whats app members group.
TRAINING RUNS
Several members of the club kindly organise training runs of variying lengths and terrain throughout the year. For information on these see the members Whats app Group or the members newsletter.
- Each Tuesday starting from various locations and usually starting around 9.30am these sessions cover up to 10 miles of XC Running. Contact Paul C or John G for additional details.
- Strength and Conditioning sessions are organised by Lucy on an adhoc basis on a Tues evening Meet at Warners Gym 18.00. Please check the What's app group for updates. Note - General facilities are available at the gym if required after the run.
TRAINING BIKE RIDES
Club Rides - There are several members that organise rides throughout the year that accomodate members of all levels.
These rides take place on a Weekend from various locations such as Skidby Mill Car Park, Beverley Westwood, Humber Bridge Car Park or other suitable starting points. The rides are organised to cover a number a various distances that depend on the training needs of the members. Main contacts include Chris E, Jacki K, Lucy K, Claire C, Ellen M
Another training ride also takes place on a Wednesday morining usually starting at 8.30am from Cafe Nero in Beverley - (start times may vary depending on time of year) Main Contact Pete O
In addition to these long rides Lucy K also organises a targeted training session focusing on the finer details of transitions and general bike handling etc. These sessions are held at a cycling track in York - (York Sport Centre. Lakeside Way, Heslington) The pilot tests for these sessions were very popular and so will start up again in the spring. They are held on a Saturday afternoon at a cost of around £5
